Sand Perch or Squirrel fish

   This beautiful fish is often found in 5-80 meters deep and usually lives on gravel or sand. This tropical fish can be found in the eastern Pacific but thrives in areas such as Peru, Ecuador, and Chile. The Sand Perch does not get exponentially big reaching 12 inches but it does live 6-7 years. This fish primarily feeds on shrimp, crab, small sea bass, sea robins, gobies, blennies, flatfishes, and filefish.
